Description :

From November 10, Jonathan Gratch, a professor at the University of Southern California, delivered a four-day special lecture series on Affective Computing. The lectures were held as the second public lecture organized by the Active Aging HAI Center.

In his talks, Professor Gratch explored how computational approaches can be applied to psychological research, covering topics such as emotion recognition and synthesis, cognitive and affective modeling, and experimental design for human–machine interaction.

The event drew students from diverse academic backgrounds, including psychology, brain and cognitive sciences, and data science. By bringing together participants from multiple disciplines, the lecture series provided valuable insight into interdisciplinary research methods and is expected to contribute to stronger research design and analytical skills among attendees.
